PTFA - Fundraising

As well as organising events and activities for parents, teachers and children, we raise funds through commissions from companies, giving schemes and grant applications. Find out more about Easy Fundraising, Stamptastic, Bag 2 School, Star Foundation, Matched Giving Schemes, Grant Applications and Payroll Giving below.

Easy Fundraising

Raise funds each time you shop online via Easy Fundraising. Simply register and log in at https://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/willesleypta, click on the retailer you want to shop with – then shop as normal. Download a donation reminder to your PC or use the Easy Fundraising App on your phone.

Stamptastic

Hate sewing on school name labels? Stamptastic could be the answer! A personalised stamp made in the UK, that can be used on fabric, metal, wood and some plastics. One ink pad lasts 2 years and each stamp lasts up to 50 washes on most fabrics. To get yours go to https://stamptastic.co.uk/pages/school-welcome#a_aid=5d134494e99cb and at the checkout use the code: LE652QG

Bag 2 School

We have teamed up with Bag 2 School to collect no longer needed clothing for them to re use and recycle. Bag 2 School pay us based on the weight of the clothing donated. Clothing drives will be held across the year.

Star Foundation

The large red recycling bin by the shelter is an easy way for us to raise money. Simply bring along all your unwanted videos, clothes, shoes, bags, belts, CD/DVDs (it doesn’t matter if they are cracked or broken) and the Star Foundation will recycle them and give a cash donation to the school.

The recycling bank is available all year around and has been provided by the Star Foundation in Burton. As well as raising funds for the school donations also help fund sports for children in the area, i.e. gymnastics, rugby, swimming etc., that some would not ordinarily have the chance to take part in. Please do use the bin all year round. For more information about the work of the Star Foundation visit www.thestarfoundationcic.org/

Matched giving schemes

As a registered charity we are able to take advantage of company matched giving. Companies pledge to donate to an amount of money relating to the amount that an employee donates or fundraises for us. If you think that your employer has a matched giving scheme already in operation, or if you would like some more information about charity matched giving or setting up a scheme in your workplace, please send an email to ashbywillesleyptfa@gmail.com

Grant applications

This year we are starting to look at which grants are available to PTAs. If this is something you have experience of – we would welcome the help!

Payroll giving

Payroll Giving is a simple and tax-effective way for parents to give to the PTFA on a regular basis. Payroll Giving lets donors make tax-efficient, regular or one-off donations to charities of their choice directly from their earnings or company or personal pension. Donations are made before income tax is taken off. This means that donors are given tax relief on their donation immediately - and at their highest rate of tax. Therefore, the donation to the PTFA, effectively, costs the parent less. Your payroll department can set it up for you and there is no minimum or maximum that can be given.

We are always on the lookout for new schemes so if you know of any please do let us know either via the front office or by emailing ashbywillesleyptfa@gmail.com . Thank you!
